Sales Engineer — Manufacturing

Join CADCAMSYS as a Sales Engineer – Manufacturing and work with sheet metal fabricators, CNC job shops, OEMs, and industrial manufacturers. You will understand customer manufacturing processes, identify productivity challenges, and recommend suitable CAD/CAM, nesting, CNC programming, costing, and manufacturing software solutions.

The role combines technical manufacturing knowledge with consultative sales, including customer discussions, product demonstrations, solution proposals, and supporting customers through evaluation and implementation.

Responsibilities

Lead technical product demos
Conduct technical product demonstrations for prospective customers.
Understand customer manufacturing workflows and identify automation opportunities.
Prepare technical proposals, solution presentations, and ROI assessments.
Plan and execute proof-of-concept (POC) projects.
Collaborate with the sales team to qualify opportunities and close business.
Coordinate with application engineers during software implementation.
Maintain strong relationships with customers throughout the sales cycle.
Gather customer feedback and communicate product improvement ideas.
Represent the company at industry exhibitions, seminars, and technical events.
Achieve assigned sales targets while maintaining high customer satisfaction.

Requirements

3+ years in pre-sales, solutions engineering, or technical sales
Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Production Engineering, or a related discipline.
Strong presentation and demo skills
Willingness to travel 25–40%
Good understanding of sheet metal manufacturing processes.
Ability to understand engineering drawings and manufacturing workflows.
Experience preparing technical proposals and conducting software demonstrations.
Comfortable working independently in a remote environment.

Nice to have

Experience with CAD/CAM software such as Almacam, AutoCAD, SolidWorks, Inventor, or similar platforms.
Knowledge of nesting software and CNC programming.
Familiarity with ERP, MES, or manufacturing software.
Experience in sheet metal fabrication or industrial automation.
Exposure to Industry 4.0 and smart manufacturing initiatives.
Existing relationships with OEMs, fabrication companies, or manufacturing customers.
